In 1947, Bill Meeks began creating radio jingles for KLIF in Dallas. He went on to form an advertising agency in the 1950s, and one of the industries that needed his help at that time was radio. After Meeks created a series of singing jingles that could be customized for different stations, a new industry was born in the Lone Star state.
